How Is My Information Protected?

Your Account information is protected by your email access for your privacy and security. No passwords are necessary for creating an account or accessing your account. By not storing passwords, Knowbase One guarantees that passwords cannot be stolen by malicious users. You can prevent unauthorized access to your account by limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

Knowbase One endeavors to protect the information it collects about its users using industry-standard security processes and controls, however, despite these efforts, no security measure is perfect or impenetrable and Knowbase One does not guarantee or warrant that such measures will prevent unauthorized access to the information about you that is stored by Knowbase One. In the event we experience a breach of security, we will promptly notify you if your personal information has been compromised, in accordance with applicable law.

What Choices Do I Have and What Information of Mine Can I Access?

You need to create an account with your organization's email to utilize Knowbase One. By having an account that is associated with your organization, your information is only shared to your organization thereby limiting the information to the public.

If you are a registered user, you can access information associated with your account by logging into the site. This information includes personally uploaded information and user searches. You can deactivate your account at any time by sending a request to [email protected]. If you deactivate your account, you will no longer be able to access or use the Services.

Data Retention Policy

Knowbase One will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. The time for which we store your personal data may depend on the type of data we hold or your account subscription tier. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. You may, of course, decline to submit personal information through the Service, in which case we may not be able to provide certain services to you. Cross-Border Transfers of Personal Data

Personal Data that you provide while in the EU or an EAA member state will be transferred to the United States. The General Data Protection Regulation permits such transfer when necessary for the performance of a contract between you and Knowbase One, if Knowbase One obtains your explicit consent to such transfer, or if it is in Knowbase One's legitimate interest to transfer the Personal Data. Children's Privacy
